Vadodara International Half Marathon (VIHM) 2016, coined as “My City My Marathon” was organized on 7th February 2016, Sunday. Its dawn came with the freshness, enthusiasm and cheer that greeted Barodians to run and take the pledge for Green, Healthy and Clean India.  This was 5th such event in succession. With every passing year, Vadodara has carved out an iconic image as far as Marathon is concerned. Vadodara has gained International attention and focus in this regard. All credit goes to the organizing teams and sponsors.

The Chairperson of VIHM, Mrs Tejalben Amin visited the Ancestral Residence of our Du’aat-e-Kiraam (aq) – Devdi Mubaarak to present exclusive invitation to Huzoor-e-‘Aali Saiyedna saheb TUS.

Aqaa Maulaa said that, “Khudaa Ta’aala select the pure-hearted people for the Khidmat of Makhlooq and the aim of this Marathonic Movement is very noble to unite people of all walks of life.”

Our Alavi Bohra Community was introduced to the organizing team of VIHM by one of their members who participated in an event organized by Tadbeer Foundation at Zenith High School few months back. They were impressed by our youth and their dedication to work for a noble cause.

Mrs Tejalben Amin was moved by simplicity and humbleness of Huzoor-e-‘Aali TUS and offered a special invitation and requested Aqaa Maulaa to grace the event by his auspicious presence. She also expressed her gratitude to associate the Tadbeer Foundation with VIHM and actively involve the Alavi Youth with their whole team.  Aqaa Maulaa granted the Razaa and under his guidance the members of Tadbeer Foundation represented their team at VIHM by taking part in the Pledge Run. The members took the Pledge Run in the traditional Nooraani Dress.

Aqaa Maulaa graced the occasion and took part in flagging off the participants of Marathon along with the Chief Minister of Gujarat Hon’ble Anandiben Patel and other dignitaries of State and City.  Mukaasir us-Da’wat and Ra’s ul-Hudood participated in the parade along with other Religious leaders during the Marathon.
