There is no disease in the Human Body for which Allaah has not put a remedy. Ibraaheem Khaleelullaah (AS) says in the Qur'an, “Wa ezaa marizto fahowa yashfeeni”, which means, ‘whenever I fall sick, it is Allaah Who will cure me'. Hence it is clear that a disease is from the man – his deeds and alterations in his daily routines and food – and its cure is from Allaah. Imaam Ja'far us-Saadiq (AS) said, O people! Qur'an is a complete book you have got which describes the remedy of each and every disease.
Once upon a time, a man complained of pain in the chest to Rasoolullaah (SAWS). He advised the man to seek the help and cure from the Qur'an. Allaah says, ‘That Qur'an is the remedy for the pain in the chest, and guidance and blessing for the mumineen'. O Rasoolullaah (SAWS), you convey to the people that mumineen should be happy from the favor and blessings of Allaah. The favor of Allaah is the Nuboowat of Mohammad (SAWS) and the blessing of Allaah is the Walaayat of Maulaana ‘Ali (AS). Mumineen are contented and happy with this favor and blessing when their enemies are engrossed in the worldly riches of gold and wealth. It is accounted in the books of Da'wat relating to the cure of maladies that the black seeds of kaloonji possesses power to cure every disease except death, which can be adjourned by du'aa and sadaqah (charity).
