Since 1422 AH, 6 Deeni Quiz competitions have been successfully organized and our children found it extremely informative and interesting. It became base for inculcating the drive to acquire deeni knowledge through Madrasah Taiyebiyah and Da’wah books. 7th Rajab ul-Murajjab 1433 AH became a special day for the readers of Mishkaat ul-Haadi Deeni Akhbaar. An exclusive quiz named "Mishkaatwalao No Muqaabelo" was organized on the first floor of Masjid-e-Nooraani at 8:00 pm. Out of 53 participants who had appeared for entrance test, 15 of them got qualified for the quiz. These contestants were divided into 5 teams namely, Hasani, Husaini, Alavi, Taiyebi and Haatemi. Saheb-e-Da’wat was present to judge the quiz. This quiz was developed on the questions framed from 12 issues of the last year’s Mishkaat ul-Haadi Deeni Akhbaar.
It got started with the tilaawat of Qur’an-e-Kareem and then nazam of Mishkaat ul-Haadi Deeni Akhbaar was presented by Madrasah pupils. It had 7 rounds each having different rules and set of questions. Rounds were,
1. Tol Mol ke Bol (15 MCQ’s)
2. Lisaan ud-Da’wat no Libaas paheraawo (10 sentences having Gujarati words)
3. Mane pahechaano O Qadardaan (10 sets of 3 hints to identify someone or something)
4. “Haa” yaa “Naa” ni Paheli (10 sets of 5 questions to be answered in only ‘yes’ or ‘no’)
5. Lafzi Chokadi Points ni Gaasdi (10 Crossword of Lisaan ud-Da’wat)
6. Maara waaste Kalaam kar (10 topics to be answered in 3 sentences)
7. Aqal ladaawo Ghalti mitaawo (10 wrong sentences to be corrected).
Some rounds were transferable and some were buzzer related. All the contestants were well prepared and they confidently answered all the rounds and displayed extraordinary ability to acquire more deeni knowledge. The competition remained tough and mind-blowing as each team tried their best in getting as much points as they can. The special attraction of this quiz was that the power-point presentation was made for each round and it was projected so that teams could concentrate on the question and answer it conveniently with swiftness.
All the visitors and special guests were gifted with a token of the names of Panjatan-Paak (as) stickers. Those mumineen whose names were declared in the Draw of 100th issue of Mishkaat ul-Haadi Deeni Akhbaar were given memorable gift by the Dast-e-Mubaarak of Mazoon ud-Da’wat Saiyedi saheb (dm). With heart-throbbing competition “Alavi Team” made the mark of distinction on other teams by winning the Quiz Contest by securing 12 gifts in its kitty. A load applauds of “Subhaanallaah” with greeting of “Mubaarak-baadi” enticed the whole atmosphere. Ahmadali Mulla Fidaali Durgawala, Shafeeqah Iqbaalhusain Navsaariwala and Aliabbaas Ahmadali Baldiwala teamed up as “Alavi” to clinch the thumping victory.
From the audience most of them were parents of Madrasah pupils and each of them had a wish that their children take part in such competitions and work hard to win and make them feel proud. Mishkaat ul-Haadi Deeni Akhbaar is thinking to make it an annual affair and organize such events to build a tempo for reading our deeni history and akhbaar.
