The fortunate and the blessed era of His Holiness Saiyedna Taiyeb Ziyauddin Saheb (TUS), our spiritual father and temporal head, is marked by the release of religious publications and printing of books, periodicals and booklets of Da'wat's knowledge and customs. With the blessings and supplication of Saiyedna Saheb (TUS), many books full of religious knowledge are periodically being published by the Centre of Teaching and Education (Idaarat ut-Ta'leem wat-Tarbiyah) of Da'wat-e-Hadiyah. The setup and the compilation of this groundwork of Lisaan ud-Da'wat also has been done in a very short period under the guidance of Saiyedi Maazoon Saheb (DM). The only special request and appeal is that the students and the children of jamaa'at should get this book as soon as possible and learn this language of community with its rules and make the mode of communication simpler, easy and sweet.
Lisaan ud-Da'wat means the language of Da'wat. Generally, Arabic, which is the language of Qur'an, is the language of Da'wat. The Du'aat-e-Keraam used to speak Arabic in all the religious gatherings and this was the only language used in the writings and other communications with the people. All the books of Da'wat written or copied in Yemen are in Arabic language. The use of Persian language increased after the Centre of Da'wat shifted to India . Arabic language ultimately amalgamated and blended with the Gujarati and Persian language at the time when our Wulaat and Du'aat stayed in the state of Gujarat . Since then the Lisaan ud-Da'wat came into existence and is still alive.
Allah Ta'aala ordered Rasulullah (SAWS), “Converse with the people in the language which is easy for them to understand, and if you fail to do so then you will not be able to guide the people to your mission.” Our Du'aat-e-Keraam followed the same practice of Rasulullah (SAWS) and for this reason Lisaan ud-Da'wat is used in the Wa'az of ten days of Moharram, Bayaanaat of Ramazaan, lectures on various occasions and the books published by the Da'wat.
It is obligatory on every mumineen to learn and get well verse with Lisaan ud-Da'wat and converse in the same language. It is appreciable and acceptable that mumineen who come to meet Huzoor-e-‘Aali (TUS) for any occasion should talk in Lisaan ud-Da'wat. Also the same language should be used by the mumineen who come to Devdi mubaarak for any of their personal or religious proceedings and in the mosque, mausoleums and other social gatherings.
This book should be used by the mumineen in the best way. Mumineen being in this Da'wat and conversing in its language is the one of the sign of “alaviyat” and a firm believer. This work contains mainly the explanation and usage of the alfaaz (words) used in the basic primary educational book of Lisaan ud-Da'wat named “Qaa'idah Lisaan id-Da'wat” . It is primarily meant for the teachers who educates children at Madrasah and makes them practice the actual use of different terminologies of our language. But mumineen who are really interested to make their speech like that of Lisaan ud-Da'wat, they should surely procure this book from the Da'wat office or from the Madrasah.
