For the first time in the history of Da'wat-e-Hadiyyah, a grand function was held at Daar-us-salaam where the members of Da'wat-e-Hadiyyah assembly ( zaakiraan-e-Ahl-e-Bayt (AS) ) exhibited their poetic talents. Usually in the Majlis, these members share their verses, salaam and marsiyah related either to the Saheb-e-Da'wat or in the praise and eulogy of Ahl-e-Bayt (AS). But this was the first occasion of its kind where all the miscellaneous concepts covering the cultural glimpses of Baroda city, patriotism of our country, need of love and harmony were presented in the most appealing verses. This function was headed by Saiyedna Saheb (TUS) and the Collector of Baroda, Mr.Bhagyesh Jha was invited as a chief guest to make the event prismatic. The event was vivified when Mr. Bhagyesh Jha, who is also an amateur poet, shared his views in the Gujarati language. The function was organized mutually by Da'wat-e-Hadiyyah and Anjuman-e-Majmoo'-un-Nikaah. Apart from the Mazoon Saheb (DZ), the pride of poetry, other members namely Haji Bhaisaheb Ahmedali, Haji Bhaisaheb Qambarali, Mulla Abbasbhai Tinwala, Mulla Qurbanhusain Gunniwala also made the event colourful by expressing their poetic talents.
The Collector of Baroda city, Mr. Bhagyesh Jha was deeply moved by the opulence of Daar-us-Salaam and he equally praised the discipline, individuality, dress and the poetic potentials of members of Da'wat-e-Hadiyyah. He was so much engrossed in the event that he didn't feel for even a single moment that he had come to attend a function, and actively participated with a great zeal.
No majlis or occasion is complete without the crowning speech of Saiyedna Saheb (TUS). Saiyedna Saheb (TUS), in his lucid and spellbind speech, recollected the history of Alavi Bohra community which dates back to almost 315 yrs. He also expressed his optimistic views regarding the progress of the Gujarat State , need of love and harmony among all the religions for the strength of our country, and the economical progress of the Alavi Bohra community. This was followed by the distribution of Bond Certificate of worth Rs. 5000/-, granted by the Gujarat Government, to all the Bridegrooms who got married in the Majmoo' un-Nikaah (group marriage), held in the year 1423 A.H. The Bonds were distributed by Saiyedna Saheb (TUS) and all the brides were bestowed by the blessings of happy and harmonious life in the future. The event was then concluded with all its charm. This event has made its way in the pages of history of Da'wat-e-Hadiyyah.
